Difficulties with Learning, Reading, Writing. The Solution


10-15% of the population in Europe have the learning difficulty called `dyslexia´, ie. significant difficulty learning to read and write. Beyond this, there is a vast invisible population of people who are stressed out or even overwhelmed in their jobs with information overload. If you belong to one of these groups, then we can help you. We offer two different reading programs at LIB, one for dyslexics still struggling with reading and one for the proficient reader who wants to up his or her performance.

                                       
 Our Method
The Davis ® Dyslexia Correction Program
Dyslexia is not a handicap. We believe that dyslexia involves a talent, and not only one, but many. The dyslexic has many distinct mental talents. Among these: the ability to think fast spatially and visually, the ability to quickly recognise patterns. Put together, the result is an extraordinarily rich imagination and a highly-developed environmental sensitivity. However, on a mental level dyslexia appears as a confusion in perception of symbolic language. And thus it is perceived as a handicap.

Over 1,500 clients have learned to recognise and take control of this confusion during the very first hours of our coaching program. We call this process the `orientation´process. Often, this process alone leads to a totally different perception immediately. This alone, however, would not be enough. The client needs to learn how to really resolve the confusion so that it no longer is necessary to control it in the first place. Each dyslexic has his very own array of confusions. The rest of the 6 day program is devoted to resolving these and anchoring the new strategies into the person’s everyday life.
